To Varnish or not to Varnish.....That is the question, so here is a ripper swarm with and without varnish, question is, which is better and should i varnish the rest of my nids?
Verdict? Well i like how it makes them more slimy looking how nids are meant to be but the maybe slightly too shiny, so what do you think?
I use Vallejo varnishes with my airbrush and I like the results. Usually I go for Satin Varnish since it's not too glossy. Did you use a spray can? Have you tried Army Painter's Matt Varnish spray?
ReplyDeleteHi thanks for the comment, no I dont have the spray i was using the varnish that comes in a small pot and you paint it on with a brush, its the games workshops own brand gloss varnish. I decided to use that in the end as i only wanted the carpace to be varnished, not the whole thing :)
ReplyDeleteAh, okay, good call then. I thought you wanted to varnish the whole thing. That's probably the best solution then, I do like the shiny carapaces myself.
