The Revenge of Ghazghkull Thraka

He’s big, he’s green and he’s very annoyed.  Seems I may have slightly dicked over our friendly neighbourhood warboss.  In a recent knockout fight I did not give him his waaagh save in the turn he was charged, as such I feel compelled to give him another shot at the cherry.  If he can beat Calgar in a 1v1 over 1 round I will allow him back into the league and play all his matches now for you lucky people.

The Sanguinor vs The Swarmlord + Nightbringer vs Calgar

Day 3 of this week’s final Elite League Character Battle and the first of today’s games is the Nightbringer vs Calgar.  Calgar in general with his power fists can hurt the Nightbringer but lets face it, if he wins this fight with the c’tan busting through his inv save it will be a miracle.  Abbadon managed to bring him down with sheer weight of attacks but with only 4 as standard I fear it’s not enough.

Today’s first game we have Marine Favourite Calgar vs Nid big bug the Swarmlord.  No points for either yet (though swarmy hasn’t fought yet) so both are looking for their first scores on the board. 

Stormraven Case options UK

Bit of a hobby post for ya, like many others I invested in a Stormraven this month.  And like those many others I personally wasn’t keen on the turret/air intake at the top but thought what the hell and went with it anyway.  So here I am with my half painted Stormraven wondering just how I’m going to transport it / keep it nice and safe, after all they certainly aren’t cheap.

So it’s Monday and half term here in the UK which means GW’s around the country are full of kids (so avoid) and the morning commute to work is fantastic and clear.  The result of this is me in an incredibly good mood right in time for today’s first elite final league matches.

The Swarmlord vs Mephiston

Onto the final Battle before the group stage and it's a big one, Tyranid uber monster the Swarmlord vs Blood Angels Librarian Mephiston.  This fight in my opinion is essentially a race against time for Mephiston to beat the Swarmlord down with his force weapon before he gets a large portion of instant death himself.  So this really comes down to psychic tests and the incredibly overpowered and cheesy shadow in the warp.

The Sanguinor Vs Ku'gath

Today’s Fight brings to you Blood Angels tough guy The Sanguinor vs the Lord of putrid’s best buddy, Ku’Gath the Plaguefather.

Marneus Calgar vs Ghazghkull Thraka

So Today we have for you the leader of the Ultramarines vs the Leader of the Orks, a true 'Games Workshop' Poster boys fight, good vs evil, blue vs green.  A battle of these armies is played out on many a GW store board across the world on a daily bases, many people starting with one of these two armies.  The leaders of which we don't see very often, so here they are, lets see once and for all who is the best.

So here they come and they look great, personally even though I dont collect deldar I still think these look excellent yet again however a shame theres no flyers or venom, giant robot scorpion etc, I also think many people were wanting plastic wracks when all they really got were beasts and beastmasters.

Abbadon vs the Deceiver

Yo Dawg's we heard you like Chaos so we've pimped Today’s match so you can see yesterday’s winner Abbadon yet again! this time vs the Deceiver (so you can deceive while you deceive) anyway enough meme's for today.  Abbadon made easy work of Ragnar but now has a much tougher opponent in the deceiver however he is one character who could possibly kill him.  Abbadon again has pretty good stats but its his daemon weapon that makes him dangerous, on the other side the Deceiver has a very nasty stat line and ignores saves that he will be using to try and pull out a win here.........

So I finally finished my first generic marine..

Yes it is indeed true, I have finally finished my first ever generic marine.  For me this is quite a milestone, I'm fairly average at painting and one of the drawbacks of that is I dont like to paint very often and when I do I like to paint things that are unique....

Todays battle is against the wolf lord Njal Stormcaller and Blood Angels lord The Sanguinor.  With them being the same points value, this should be interesting.

Today’s Battle is between the Nid Swarmlord and Chaos wizard Ahriman.  Now I know from reading various forums online that many don’t consider the Swarmlord a special character, I personally consider it a named hive tyrant so as such I am including it in this series.

The Deceiver vs Typhus

Firstly I would like to apologise to all nurgle fans that unfortunately due to not knowing the chaos codex that well anymore I wasn't aware that typhus's daemon weapon wounded on a 4+, as such with this weapon and its D6 extra attacks, there is an extremely good chance he could beat the Deceiver.  As such I am re-running this fight now. (thanks crispy for the heads up) this actually ended up a pretty good battle.

Skarbrand vs Mephiston

Today’s Elite showcase we have for you one of what I personally think could be the best of the matches so far, Skarbrand the named Bloodthirster and Mephiston the mighty psyker of the Blood Angles, can he bring the beast down or will it be too much for the Angels lord.
